The courage to write this poignant memior was born out of the authors desire to lift the stigmatism place on all the beautiful people afflicted with the disease of addiction as well as providing comfort to those whose lives have been forever changed by the horrific epidemic of addiction providing a chance to know you are not alone Admittedly the journey of addiction is painful and exhausting for families and loved ones who have little control over their loved ones path. However the lessons Kathy has learned throughout her journey has brought her a better understanding of the disease of addiction.
